Parents, Grandparents and Families from Around the World to Launch International "Our Kids' Climate" Coalition Via Press Teleconference on October 13

New coalition of fourteen climate-focused parent organizations from eight countries to demand bold action to cut carbon pollution at global climate conference in Paris and beyond

WORLDWIDE

A new international coalition of climate-focused parent and grandparent organizations, Our Kids' Climate, will hold a telepresser on Tuesday, October 13th, to launch its initiative to press global leaders to take bold action to cut carbon pollution. This parent-focused climate coalition is highlighting the moral obligation of international leaders to protect our children's health and safety in the face of climate change.

Our Kids' Climate, which already represents nearly one million parents and grandparents, is mobilizing to build a strong grassroots presence at civil society actions in Paris and around the world during global climate negotiations, and is circulating an international parent petition that parents and grandparents will deliver to the UN Secretary General in Paris this December. Post Paris, the coalition will mobilize a growing number of parents and families in domestic and international efforts to cut fossil fuel use and rapidly expand clean energy.

What: Press teleconference to launch international Our Kids' Climate coalition. Leaders of climate-focused parent organizations in the U.S., Peru, Canada and Sweden will outline the coalition's efforts to engage millions of parents worldwide in grassroots action to push for a strong global climate agreement at the UN climate negotiations in Paris; and, post-Paris, to work internationally to cut fossil fuel use and expand clean energy.

When: Tuesday, October 13, 1:00 p.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Pacific
