Bahati Kanyamanza

  • Bahati Kanyamanza is a former refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo who now lives in Fort Worth, Texas. He co-founded the refugee-led nonprofit COBURWAS International Youth Organization to Transform Africa (CIYOTA), which supports conflict-affected youth in Africa’s Great Lakes region to access quality education, and now serves as the global partnerships director at the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), a global legal aid and advocacy nonprofit. He is also an advisor to the United States Refugee Advisory Board (USRAB).
