Jedediah Purdy

Jedediah Purdy Professor of Law at Duke Law School, where he teaches constitutional and environmental law, among other topics. His latest book is After Nature: A Politics for the Anthropocene. Previous books include: A Tolerable Anarchy: Rebels, Reactionaries, and the Making of American Freedom; The Meaning of Property: Freedom, Community, and the Legal Imagination; and For Common Things: Irony, Trust and Commitment in America Today. He lives in Carrboro, North Carolina.
