Mauricio Torres

Mauricio Torres earned his master's and doctorate in human geography at the University of Sao Paulo. His research concerned territorial conflicts involving indigenous and traditional peoples and communities in the Amazon. He is now a professor at the Institute of Amazonian Farms (Ineaf) in the Federal University of Para (UFPA). His research interests include rural sociology, agrarian geography and anthropology.
