Tareq Abu Hamed

Dr. Tareq Abu Hamed is the executive director of the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, a leading academic and research institute that advances cross-border environmental cooperation in the face of political conflict. He was the first Jerusalem Palestinian to reach a senior position in an Israeli government ministry, serving ultimately as the Israeli Ministry of Science’s acting chief scientist.
